After an additional nine inches of snow fell last night, the girls had a snow day today. I didn’t have a snow day, because the snow had the nerve to stop by the time we woke up this morning. Not that I would have been able to take a snow day…
Had to take a 9 AM conference call at the house. While I was on the phone, in my bedroom with the door closed, Chloe came barging in because…because GASP! her Wii remote wasn’t working properly. Here I am, gesturing every which way (ok, I didn’t go so far as to give her the finger) to let her know I couldn’t help her. But she stayed in the room. Wrote me a note (exhibit A above) to explain the problem and shoved it in my face. Really?!? I gestured some more.
I then realized that there was no way I’d be able to work from home. My husband had cleared the cars and the driveway, so I hightailed it out of the house and went to the office as soon as the call was over. And boy was I glad to get the hell out of dodge. I really despise snow days. Especially when I’m unable to enjoy them myself.
The girls had a day of TV, Wii and making paper snowflakes. I’m glad I missed it.
