We went blueberry hunting this morning. And we hit the jackpot at Terhune Orchards in Princeton. It was a veritable berry fest, with bushes upon bushes of blueberries ripe for the taking.

We got off to a slow start, but armed with a couple of large buckets, we soon went to town. Before we knew it, we had collected more than two pounds of blueberries.

Sophie had eagle eyes for the fat berries and was careful not to take the ones that still required some ripening. The sun was beating down on us as we made our way down the rows of bushes.

We will have blueberries for a long time. Two full bags are now in the freezer and a large container sits in the fridge. I love summer fruit!
