It’s hard to believe. But in two days, Sophie will be seven years old. She’s still as loving and cuddly as ever, except when we annoy her. And when that happens, it’s evident that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Sophie is very proud to still be the youngest in her class, yet one of the tallest. She can’t wait for me to come to her school birthday party on Thursday. I am somewhat ashamed to admit that this is her first classroom birthday celebration I will be attending since pre-K. Better late than never, I suppose.
Sophie continues to express her fervent desire for me to spend more time with her. She tells me I need to make a decision soon. She’s truly the boss of me. And there’s no other boss I’d rather have.
