Look at this touching portrait of sisterly love. It warms the cockles of my heart. This is going to be my new “happy” photo. I am committing it to memory so that the next time the girls find themselves on a path to mutual destruction, I will remember that they sometimes love each other.

An Apple a Day
A day of apple picking makes Chloe and Sophie very happy. They brought home lots of apples today, along with apple cider donuts. As soon as I had a taste of the latter, I was transported back to my childhood and autumn visits to the local orchard. Absolutely yummy.
The Best Day of My Life
I am on the phone with Sophie right now. She’s describing the great day she had with Grammy and Chloe – they went apple picking.
Pink Me Not Has a New Look
In anticipation of Pink Me Not’s third birthday on October 24, I have created a colorful and fun new look for my blog.
Girly Girl
Grammy gave Sophie a fancy Belle costume for her birthday. And as if that wasn’t enough, she also presented her little granddaughter with a matching Belle tea service and cart. Hump Day
We’ve officially arrived at the beginning of the end of the week. Whenever I get home from work on Wednesdays, I know that the Saturday’s fast approaching. Sophie’s 5th Birthday Party!
Sophie’s birthday week has officially concluded. With a bang. And a parachute. I love you, my Sophie bear.

The “cheerleaders,” who don’t cheer, but who try to lead their apostles by yelling at them. The weirdos. The loners.
Happy 5th Birthday, Sophie!
The first thing Sophie asked us this morning, after we wished her a happy birthday and she crawled into our bed for a 5-year old cuddle: “Did I lose my baby fat on my butt?” Really. I am not exaggerating. “No, not yet, sweetie. You still have the cutest butt ever.” Rest assured, Sophie did not burst into tears upon hearing my response. Instead, she cuddled with us some more.
