We had a weekend of games – Boggle, Monopoly, musical chairs, tag…lots of fun. Oh, playdates and movies too. Oh, and lest I forget, watching Jude Law (amazing!) perform Hamlet.
A busy weekend, to say the least. My hubby was stuck working for most of the weekend and now he’s off to Nashville until Wednesday night. It’s going to be a crazy week. Having to leave work at a reasonable hour to take care of the girls (not such a bad thing, mind you), boss’ last day on Friday (kind of a bad thing), trying to not think of work when I’m at home (a nearly insurmountable task given my personality, but hell, I’m going to try)…
I’ve also been thinking about digging up the novel I started to write so many years ago. I never got very far–a handful of pages–but I would really love to put pen to paper again, with the goal of actually completing it this time. Who knows where it might lead. This is all part of my mid-life crisis, I’m sure. I need a change and I really want to spend more time with the girls. Which means I need to come up with a way to make that happen. Between dreaming of opening a children’s bookstore and writing a novel, and playing Mega-Millions from time to time, change is just around the corner, I know. Perhaps I should also think of a plan B.
