This week has been a long one. Work is insanely busy, our front door lock called it quits for good and needs to be entirely replaced, and during all of this craziness, my dear husband was sitting pretty in Nashville.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m glad he’s able to travel for his work. But it’s exhausting when he’s not around. Mind you, the girls behaved quite well, all things considered. And they deserve extra credit for putting up with my curse-laden temper tantrum yesterday morning when the front door knob fell off in Chloe’s hand.
I don’t know how single parents do it. Day in, day out, dealing with problems large and small, without a break. Every time my husband goes away, my appreciation level increases exponentially for those men and women raising families on their own.
As an aside, why is it that every type of home repair seems to cost at least $1,000? That’s also exhausting. Calgon, take me away!
