Sophie lost her 7th tooth today. Very exciting for her. The bad news is that she can’t find her other six teeth! We have no idea where they are. They didn’t disintegrate and Sophie didn’t eat them. It’s a mystery. Sophie fervently hopes that the tooth fairy knows where they are. She’s written a note to her asking if she’s seen them.

Dear Tooth Fairy,
I lost my tooth! It’s tiny, seven teeth fell out, including this one so far in my life. I need your help because I always put my teeth in my tooth fairy box. It looks like this [drawing of box]. I lost six of them so I don’t know where they are. So I was wondering if you could find them. I’ll be so grateful. You don’t have to find all of them, at least one or two please. Thank you so much for all your help.
Love, Sophie

The tooth fairy was kind enough to respond with a note and the going rate of $1.

Dear Sophie,
Thank you so much for your note. I do not know where all of your teeth are, but as you know I sometimes take children’s teeth in exchange for the money. All of your teeth were so lovely, I recall taking three of them to give to poor little children elsewhere in the world who needed healthy teeth. I hope you don’t mind and aren’t upset with me. I usually leave a note when I take teeth, but I must have forgotten to write one to you.
As for your other teeth, please don’t give up hope. I’m sure they’ll turn up and your mommy and daddy will help look for them.
I can’t wait to see you again soon and gaze at your beautiful face after you lose your 8th tooth!
Love,
The Tooth Fairy
