Sophie’s Back and She Hugs!
I really missed Sophie’s hugs this week. And when she stepped out of my mom’s car this afternoon and gave me a series of huge hugs, I was overcome with happiness.
Letters to Mom and Dad
Apparently, Chloe and Sophie miss us. Either they miss us or my mom encouraged them to write us letters. It doesn’t really matter what their motivation was. ‘Cause what a treat to get mail from my girls!

When is it that children lose their innocence once and for all? Is it when they start paying attention to the news, and realize that most of it is negative? Is it when something bad and life-changing happens to them? Or is it when they learn that something bad and life-changing happens to one of their friends?
A Clean Room
I didn’t think it would ever happen. Chloe cleaned her room today. Really cleaned it. I can see the top of her dresser and she can now actually use her desk to write.
