All About Sophie

We deposit Chloe at camp tomorrow for four weeks.  One month without my 11-year old to talk our ears off, complain about my nagging, steal my computer and allow it to run out of juice, leave a mess everywhere in the house…

Which means that my dear little Sophie is going to be the lucky recipient of all our attention – good and bad, including extra nagging because we’re down one kid.

This last week was a big one for Chloe, who benefited from star billing in most of the blog entries.  Starting on Monday, when Sophie returns from the weekend at Grammy’s, Sophie will have the lead all to herself.

I’m hoping to make time to do some fun things with Sophie while her sister is away.  I think she will enjoy being in the spotlight.  At least for the first couple of weeks.  At which point she might actually start missing Chloe, although I’m sure she wouldn’t admit it if she did.

Chloe has generously agreed to pass down her Nintendo DSi to Sophie, which will be a big surprise for her.  If nothing else, the gesture should engender some goodwill between the two siblings. They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder.  We shall put that cliche to the test and I’ll let you know how it turns out..
