Lobotomy

We went shopping at the mall earlier today.  I really do not like shopping at the mall with the munchkins.   Sure enough, the girls didn’t disappoint.  We were at the store and Chloe was upset because she saw something she liked and we didn’t get it for her.  Sophie was upset because she saw something she liked and we didn’t get it for her.  I went to the cash register to pay for what we decided to buy and the two of them were still sad and whiny.  The hubby saw that I’d just about had it and he asked, in French, “What do you need?”

Sexy

“Mom, what’s ‘saixee’ mean?”  I was watching “So You Think You Can Dance” with my girls and Sophie heard me say that one of the dances was supposed to be ‘sexy.’

Sophie sort of heard me, but didn’t quite get the pronunciation.  “What’s ‘saxy?'” she tried again.  It was very cute.  She sounded a little French.  “What’s ‘sixy?'” she attempted yet again.  I had to repeat the word several more times until she finally got it right.

She still has no idea what ‘sexy’ means.  That’s ok.  She’s only 4 5/6 years old.
