Sophie graduated from pre-K today. An incoming kindergartner is she. Ceremony was adorable. “The Lion King” theme, with elaborate costumes and choreography and singing. It was truly lovely. And I wish I had some photos to display for my loyal readers. But I don’t have any.

Relaxation and Recreation
It’s been almost two weeks, and I’ve essentially managed to ditch the computer and the blackberry every evening until the girls’ bedtime.
My Cuties
School is almost over. Sophie graduates from pre-K on Friday, and Chloe says au revoir to 3rd grade next Thursday. I often return to the theme of how quickly they’re growing. But when they hit these milestones, I’m happy and sad at the same time.

We went to the beach yesterday. Had a super fun day on the boardwalk, going on rides and trying to win prizes.

One work week down, and it’s official. I have managed to avoid the computer every night after work until the girls go up to bed.

A New Leaf
I looked at the front page of the NY Times today and saw an article that resonated a little too much with me. The headline: “Hooked on Gadgets, and Paying a Mental Price.”
